thefandf and the Thalia Force.
A ScisurfnFi novel of the Thirtieth Century(and a small
bit of the First).
There are well over forty-two reasons for reading this book, almost all of them excellent to good.
It has approximately four hundred pages; an even number. It has a great cover. It is a space opera. There are lots of characters. It has a dramatis personae. Mostly in English, it has some French in it and some longish bits of Spacer. There is a timeline, spanning eons, to save some of your own time.It has a pink electric guitar in it and many spaceships. The author is an Australasian and that is all you need ever know about them. It has a zero blog website. You can wear the tee shirt, the thefandf hoody and obtain a shopping bag. There are lots of rock music allusions and I forgot to mention The Eight Fold Sticker pack. There are chapters with nifty titles when once they had none. There are some anagrams and a wormhole. There are Ancients mentioned. It has romance and a sex scene so understated you will probably miss it.Thematically it features some surfing. If you dig deep enough you may unearth hidden philosophical treasures, though you may not either (blunt spade, blonde etc). The main character is somewhat obsessed with light and drinks too much. It's funny. There is a murder and mystery seeps out of the pores of every page. Some might say drips, as does blood. It is to cyberpunk as an onion is to crying .Would Deckard have read it? Sorry, cannot say. There are furry animals in it with alliterative names. It will probably develop a cult following. It has a strangely agrammatical title and an alien force with an odd number. There is only one book in the series so far, so you can't get the wrong one.A venomous snake has a bit part. Swearing is medium level at most. The AI's in it are all smarter than thou, even when they are just experimenting with the concept of having a bad day. There are several attractive women in it; two have tattoos. It was rejected by just two publishers. All the rest of them can go take a walk; maybe on New Earth, in CE2951, down Main Street Bermagui.
Why don't you come along too?
